»Travelling Books« is a platform for exchange and networking among artists through the medium of the artist’s book. The project views the artist’s book not only as an independent form of artistic publication, but also as a medium for dialogue, exchange, and networking among artists.
As part of »Travelling Books,« German Artists’ Association members’ publications are presented at various locations and in the context of different art events. This gives members the opportunity to showcase their own publications, highlight their artistic practice, and engage in dialogue with other artists and visitors.

The German Artists’ Association will also be represented at ART COLOGNE ART PAPERS + with the »Travelling Books« project (selection).
ART PAPERS + is a project by M-OFF that explores and makes accessible contemporary artist books, editions, zines, experimental publications, and works on paper as independent art forms. It presents diverse practices of artistic publishing and situates them within a dialogue of regional, national, and international perspectives in the contemporary art scene.
This year, Stefanie Klingemann (founder of M-OFF) has invited five participants in cooperation with Art Cologne: OHIO Photomagazin, Totalverlag, Museum für Fotokopie (M.F.F.), St. Patrick’s Zine Library, and »Travelling Books,« a project of the German Artists’ Association.
On Saturday, November 7, at 4 p.m, Myriam Thyes will present her new monograph, “Shifting Symbols in Digital Spaces. Works 2008–2025.” In conversation with editor Michael Staab, the artist will provide insight into her work over the past 17 years and the creation of the book. The publication brings together over 150 images of works and exhibition views and includes texts by Rahel Beyerle, Anne Hörz, Michael Staab, and Stephan Trescher.
